Ballmer shows interest in Yahoo deal again
The Microsoft Yahoo drama continues as Steve Ballmer has again shown interest in getting into a deal with Yahoo.
He said in a interview: “I think a search deal makes great sense for Microsoft, and Yahoo. I think I’ve been very open about that. I think good ideas are usually better done quickly than slowly, so it would probably be better for both us, and certainly for Yahoo, if we were to do it sooner than later. But at the end of the day, that would have be something Yahoo would be as interested in as I have expressed our interest.”
The possibility of a deal has increased now that Yahoo is hunting for a new CEO.
Yahoo had initially declined an acquisition offer from Microsoft stating it was too low.
