Maruti to shut down plant for maintenance
Maruti Suzuki India has announced that they would shut down their plants for 10 days from the last week of December for annual maintenance.
This is an annual event for the company and would help it clear the stock as the auto sales have taken a dive in the domestic market.
Maruti said in a statement: “We will be closing from December 25 to January 3 as a part of our annual maintenance shutdown.”
Gulshan Ahuja, Secretary General, Federation of Automobile Dealers Association spoke about the current market condition: “With car dealers also having huge stocks, companies are taking efforts to correct their inventory. But it would still take some time.”
