Y Tsuji is the new CEO of Yamaha India
Yamaha once dominated the Indian bike market with their RX100 model. Times have changed and the company now is struggling to compete against bigger players like Hero Honda and Bajaj Auto.
Yamaha Motors has now announced the appointment of Y Tsuji as their new CEO of Indian operations.
He takes over from Tsutomu Mabuchi.
Tsutomu Mabuchi had arrived in India earlier this year. He had replaced T Ishikawa.
The world’s second-largest motorcycle maker has been launching some new innovative products in the Indian market hoping to generate the much needed buzz. But they still lack a product to take on the best selling products from rival companies.
Yamaha India has on offer models including 150 cc YZF R15 and FZ16 in addition to two super bikes, the 1,670 cc MT 01 and 1,000 cc YZF R1.
