Honda India cuts production
Honda has announced that they are cutting back the expansion plan at its second Indian plant in Rajasthan.
The company has also decided to cut the production at their existing plants in India due to lower demand in the market.
A Honda representative said in a statement: “While work on shed is still continuing and structures will be ready, installation of equipment will not be happening.”
The company added that the production at the Greater Noida facility would be reduced. The aim is to have a lean operation model without creating surplus stock for their cars.
Honda Siel Cars India said: “We are closely monitoring the market situation and will adjust monthly production volumes to respond promptly to market demands while ensuring operational efficiencies and low inventory levels.”
