Mercedes dominates BMW in Israel
Israel has a very small market for luxury cars. As per latest reports, cars with a price tag that exceeds NIS 250,000 amount to only around 2 percent of all vehicles sold in Israel. And Mercedes is dominating the global makers of luxury cars BMW here in the Israeli market.
Incoming reports claim that just around 3,400 luxury cars were sold in Israel last year and Mercedes dominated the market with sales of 903 cars. BMW came second with sales of 820 luxury vehicles. The other automakers to follow Mercedes and BMW were Audi, Jaguar, and Porsche with not so exciting sales figures.
The statistics are impressive considering BMW otherwise dominates the worldwide market of luxury cars. The company sold more luxury cars worldwide than any other automaker in the world. However, Mercedes seems to have benefited in Israel with aggressive sales strategy and a well-financed publicity campaign.
