GM Australia to manufacture fuel efficient small car
US based automaker General Motors has announced that their Australian division would manufacture a small car that would be ultra fuel efficient.
The company said that they would manufacture a small four-cylinder car in the country in 2010.
GM is struggling in their domestic market where they have just secured a financial loan from the US government.
They are focusing their attention on fuel efficient cars to boost customer confidence and sales.
A company representative said: “The new car will provide Australian motorists with an Australian-made car that is around 20 percent more fuel efficient and produces 20 percent less in carbon emissions than current larger vehicles.”
