Volvo aims to build an accident proof car
Swedish auto maker Volvo has said that they aim to manufacture an accident proof car by the year 2020.
A company representative said: “Our aim for 2020 is that no one should be killed or injured in a Volvo car.”
Volvo continues to evolve their products to add more safety features… for the driver and for the people on the roads.
The company would display their next-generation S60 mid-size sedan at the Detroit auto show.
It would have features like Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and pedestrian detection.
Thomas Broberg, safety expert added: “Up until now, we have focused on helping the driver avoid collisions with other vehicles. Now we are taking a giant step forward with a system that also boosts safety for unprotected road users. New sensor technology also makes it possible to advance from 50% to full-automatic braking power.”
