RIM sues Motorola for blocking new hirings
Blackberry maker Research in Motion has filed a lawsuit against the US based mobile phone maker Motorola.
RIM is claiming that Motorola is blocking current and ex-employees from joining them.
The lawsuit further accuses Motorola of unfair competition.
Incidentally, this lawsuit comes just months after Motorola had filed a lawsuit against RIM for violating their agreement reached in February which stated that the two companies would not solicit each other’s employees.
RIM now claims that the agreement does not stand valid now as it was till August this year.
They are further claiming: “RIM entities continue to grow and hire new employees within the United States and globally against a backdrop of recent public announcements by Motorola that it has and will continue to make massive layoffs.”
