Air India cut fares by up to 82% in 20 sectors
Indian government owned airline company Air India has cut fares by up to 82% in 20 sectors.
Most of these cuts are applicable on metro routes.
Air India is able to cut the prices on their tickets due to the decreasing prices of the aviation turbine fuel (ATF).
A company spokesperson said: “The airline is cutting basic fares by 35-82% on domestic sectors”.
They are not alone. JetLite too has announced cuts in their fares. Their fares are now down by up to 40%.
Kingfisher Airlines has already announced that they would cut fares from January 1.
SpiceJet and IndiGo too are likely to introduce cuts in their ticket prices next month.
