Dell announces a major management shakeup

US based personal computer maker Dell has announced some major management changes.

The company announced that their president of global operations Mike Cannon will retire.

Dell’s Chief Marketing Officer Mark Jarvis is also leaving the company.

Cannon would retire on January 31. He would however continue to work as a consultant with Dell.

Jeff Clarke would become the new vice chairman of global operations. He would continue to head the Dell’s business client product group.

Jarvis would be replaced by Erin Nelson.

Dell also announced that it is now organizing their operations around three main segments – large enterprise, public sector and small and medium businesses. The aim is to serve their customers better.
