General Motors India sales down 35.95 per cent in December 2008
Maruti has already announced a decline in their sales in the month of December 2008.
Now. GM India has come out with their numbers and they are not good.
The company has revealed that their sales in the period were down 35.95 per cent compared to December 2007.
GM sold just 4,041 units in December last year. This is down from sales of 6,309 units in the same month in 2007.
Chevrolet Tavera: 509 units
Chevrolet Aveo and Aveo U-VA: 867 units
Chevrolet Optra: 248 units
Chevrolet Spark: 2,382 units
Chevrolet Captiva: 35 units
GM India Vice-President P Balendran spoke about these disappointing figures: “Since the market has slowed down completely, we could not meet our target although we have registered a marginal growth this year.”
