Audi India saw improved sales in 2008
German automaker Audi has said that they have managed to triple their sales in the Indian market in 2008 compared to the previous year.
The company has expanded their presence in India massively and are selling a lot of new models.
The launch of these new models helped the company boost their sales in 2008.
Audi sold 76 units in December alone which is much better than sales of 31 units in the same month in 2007.
Overall, Audi India sold 349 units in the previous year.
Audi India MD Benoit Tiers spoke about their plans for the Indian market: “The year 2008 has been an exciting time for Audi India as we not only have achieved, but exceeded our projected targets despite the overall slowdown in the automobile market.”
