Their Genesis sedan model has won the North American Car of the Year award.

This is a major achievement for the company as they managed to defeat American and Japanese automakers to win this award for their Genesis model.

The company is hoping that this would help them gain more popularity in the US market.

Hyundai Genesis is designed to compete against more recognizable rivals like Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Toyota Lexus GS.

Hyundai Vice-Chairman Lee Hyun Soon spoke about this achievement: “It is a game-changing vehicle which will define our product going forward.”
