Wipro Technologies too on the World Bank BAN list

Satyam was not the only company to feature on the World Bank ban list.

Wipro Technologies is another major Indian IT company to feature on the list.

Wipro was added on the ban list in 2007.

The reasons are same. Wipro officials are said to be guilty of trying to bribe the World Bank employees.

Megasoft is another tech firm to be on the same list.

Wipro has now confirmed that they are ‘ineligible’ to bid for ‘direct contracts’ from the World Bank between June 2007 and 2011.

The company added that the ban has not affected their revenues as they did little work for the World Bank in the recent years.
