FedEx orders more planes from Boeing
US based Federal Express has announced that they are now exercising their option to purchase 15 more Boeing 777 freighters.
This order is worth around $3.75 billion at list prices.
The company has however deferred deliveries of some of the planes as the US economy continues to go through a crisis.
FedEx now has 30 Boeing 777 planes on order. The company also has the option to order 15 more.
The company said that as a result of this new order, its capital expenditures are expected to increase by about $15 million in fiscal 2009 and by about $2.75 billion over the following 10 fiscal years.
