Sony could report its first operating loss in 14 years!

Nikkei newspaper has reported that things are so bad for Sony that they might be close to announcing their first operating loss in 14 years.

Sony is suffering due to falling sales of their televisions and other electronics in North America and Europe.

The company is also suffering badly due to poor sales of their PlayStation 3 gaming console which is still sold at a loss as per reports.

The newspaper report said that the Japanese giant could post an operating loss of about 100 billion yen for the year ending March 2009.

Sony had however predicted a full-year operating profit of 200 billion yen in October last year.

Things have changed massively since that time though.
