Honda Insight Hybrid is cheaper than Toyota Prius

If Toyota has showcased their next generation Prius, Honda has come out with their Insight Hybrid model.

Honda Insight is smaller and less fuel efficient than the Prius.

But the interesting aspect is that it is going to be much cheaper than the Toyota Prius.

Sources say that Honda Insight would sell for USD 18000. This is going to be around USD 4000 cheaper than Toyota Prius.

Market analyst Tom Libby spoke about the Honda Insight: “It’s the first direct competitor to the Prius. And it’s from Honda, so I think it’s going to be a major success.”

Toyota Prius 2010 is expected to give 50 miles per gallon. Honda claims that Insight would give an estimated 40 miles per gallon in the city and 43 on the highway.
