Cheap Chinese cars might soon dominate US market
The US automakers are already troubled with the competition provided by the Japanese auto companies like Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. In addition, South Korean auto giant Hyundai is considerably expanding their base in the US market.
Both Ford and General Motors are cutting jobs and closing down plants to cut costs and get back to profitability. However, much more bad news might be in store for them. Market experts believe that the entry of Chinese automakers in the US market might make the situation worse for them.
China based Geely automobiles recently became the first Chinese automaker to showcase a car in an US based auto show. And now Geely along with Chery, another Chinese automobile manufacturer have said that they plan to export their vehicles to the US market soon.
These models are expected to be attractively priced and might tempt the American customer to go in for them rather than any of the cheaper models manufactured by Ford or GM. Market estimates believe that China based automakers can sell their models in the US market for as little as 6,600 dollars.
This is significantly lower than what the GM Chevrolet Aveo sells for here (USD 9,350) and could cause further dent in the sales of the US based automakers.

Chinese cars will come to north america, starting off with zhonghua, geely, chery and nanjing…and i say in a few years..they will have same market share as KIA
