Barnes & Noble announces a job cut
Barnes & Noble has announced that they are laying off around 100 jobs in their operations.
All of these jobs are from their corporate division.
The company said that they are working on cutting costs to stay competitive in these tough times.
BN said that these jobs were cut as they are opening fewer stores and are also merging various departments.
Company Chief Executive Steve Riggio added in a statement: “It should be noted, this is the first time in the company’s history we’ve had to do this. The business climate in which we are operating is unprecedented, and therefore, the reduction in expenses is inevitable.”
