Wall Street Journal: Microsoft considering massive layoffs
Wall Street Journal has reported that the US based software giant Microsoft is considering laying off significant number of workers.
The report had unnamed sources who are familiar with the company’s plan.
The report also said that the company has not yet finalized any plans and they could follow some other ideas to cut costs without laying off employees.
Microsoft has declined to comment on these latest rumors in the market.
WSJ however said that the number of potential job cuts is likely to be less than 15000 which the rumors in the market claim.
Microsoft has around 91,000 employees globally and they could make a job cut announcement while revealing their quarterly earnings next week.
