Airbus is the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer
Airbus delivered a record number of aircrafts last year to take the claim of being the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer.
Boeing is their primary rival in this industry.
The company is however expecting a slowdown this year due to worsening economic conditions.
Airbus CEO Tom Enders said in a statement that they are expecting orders to fall below deliveries this year.
He said: “It’s looking like a very soft year right now.”
They are aiming to match the deliveries made in 2008 for this year.
The company gained orders for 777 planes worth $100 billion at catalog prices. Boeing in comparison got orders for 662 planes.
