GE Capital cutting jobs to save $2 billion this year
General Electric has revealed that its GE Capital unit is in the process of cutting jobs to save around USD 2 billion a year.
The company however did not reveal the magnitude of this job cut.
Market rumors claim that the company is cutting as many as 11000 positions in their global operations.
Company spokesperson Russell Wilkerson said in a statement: “We are doing some layoffs within GE Capital.”
GE Capital COO Bill Cary has already stated that the company was prepared to take tough steps to stay competitive in these hard times.
