Carlos Slim might invest in The New York Times
Wall Street Journal has reported that The New York Times is in talks with Carlos Slim Helu on a potential investment deal.
NYT has declined to comment on these reports.
The report stated that no deal has been reached till now. The investment would come handy for the NYT as it would be able to meet debt payments.
The news media giant had about $46 million in cash and $1.1 billion in debt at the end of September last year.
Slim was named last year as the world’s second richest man.
