Intel could report a loss in the first quarter of the year
US based microprocessor industry giant Intel might report their first loss in more than two decades in the current quarter.
The company recently posted a 90 percent drop in fourth-quarter profit. Revenues were also down by around 23%.
Intel Chief Executive Paul Otellini has been quoted as saying to company employees in an internal memo: “We are not going to wake up in six months with everything rosy again.”
Intel spokesman Chuck Mulloy has declined to comment on these reports in the market first published by Bloomberg.
The worsening economy has hit almost every company out there and Intel is not escaping the scenario.
