TVS Motor Company posts a loss of Rs 95 lakh
Indian automaker TVS Motor Company has posted a major loss of Rs 95 lakh during the quarter ended December 31, 2008.
This is a disappointment compared to profits of Rs 5 crore in the same period in the previous year.
The sales for the company were also down by 2 per cent to Rs 852 crore.
TVS said that the sales were down due to restricted availability of finance, liquidity crunch and general inflationary trends.
The company sold 145 lakh bikes in the quarter compared to sales of 176 lakh units in the same period last year.
