GM India to launch more alternate fuel cars in India
GM India has announced that they are working on launching more models in India which uses alternative fuels like CNG and LPG.
With this, the company is hoping to boost sales of their cars in the Indian market.
GM India has also just launched the automatic transmission four-wheel drive version of Chevrolet Captiva. This model is priced at Rs. 20.3 lakhs.
General Motors India President (GMI) and Managing Director Karl Slym spoke about their plans for the future: “Our strategy is to have high fuel efficiency in all our vehicles in the first place. Then we will be introducing vehicles powered by (alternative) fuels like CNG and LPG, besides having different power-trains and different displacements.”
The company is all set to launch a new model that would feature LPG fuel option. GM already has on sale a CNG edition of the Chevrolet Optra luxury sedan.
