Formula One definitely coming to India in 2011?
Indian Formula-1 fans might have some doubts, but F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has stated that the country would definitely host a F1 race in the 2011 season.
He said that FIA and Indian partner Jaiprakash Associates are fully committed to bringing a Formula-1 season race to India.
This race is likely to take place in the capital city of Delhi.
Ecclestone added: “Of course, we will deliver. Otherwise we wouldn’t have entered into an agreement.”
The funny thing is that the construction on a possible structure has yet not begun.
Ecclestone added about the potential for the Indian market for Formula-1 teams: “It’s a large, large country with a big population and it’s good for the sponsors, car manufacturers and everyone involved in Formula One.”
