Bhupendra Kumar Modi shows interest in Satyam
Spice’s Bhupendra Kumar Modi has shown his interest in acquiring a part in the tainted Satyam.
He said that Spice has sent an expression of interest to the new Satyam Computer Services board to acquire the company.
Modi said: “Our board met today and we have informed the Satyam board of our intent.”
He sold his stake in the mobile services company Spice Telecom to Idea last year.
He said the funds can be arranged for a possible deal with Satyam.
Modi added: “Our companies have further cash and there are no borrowings. I have not pledged my shares to anyone.”
He further said that Satyam fits in their expansion plans.
