Amazon doing fine despite a slowing economy
Amazon has proved that you can be profitable even in tough economic times.
The company has said its sales in the fourth quarter were up 18 percent to $6.7 billion.
Amazon further reported that its free cash flow increased 16 percent to 1.36 billion.
The net income was up 8.7 percent, to $225 million.
The net sales for the entire year is also up 29 percent to $19.17 billion.
The operating income during this period? $842 million.
Amazon further said that the demand for their Kindle e-book reader is stronger than ever.
The company is rumored to be planning the launch of the second generation Kindle in the coming days.
