Kyocera International to cut 360 jobs in handset business
Kyocera International has announced that they are cutting around 360 jobs in their mobile operations.
These job cuts would be mostly due to integration of Kyocera Wireless unit with its Sanyo Telecom unit.
These are the latest job cuts to be announced by a company in the mobile handset business.
Mobile sales have been slowing down in the recent times due to tough economic times as more customers are going for cheaper handsets to save money.
Kyocera spokesman John Chier spoke about the new developments: “KWC in San Diego will still design the phones for the Americas. What’s moving to Japan is most of the development of those product designs.”
