REVA Electric Car aims to double production capacity

India’s electric car manufacturer REVA Electric Car has announced their plans to double production of its electric mini-car by building a new factory in Bangalore.

The company said that this new unit would have an annual production of 30,000 vehicles.

Reva sells their cars branded as the G-Wiz in the UK and the REVA in India.

The company currently has a capacity to produce 30,000 cars annually.

Sales in the domestic market are little but the company export their cars to international markets like Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, France and Norway.

They are also aiming to launch their products in new markets including Hungary, Slovenia, South America and parts of Asia.

Reva also has plans to launch a new sedan model later this year. Another model would be launched powered with lithium-ion battery capable of a range of 75 miles.
