Al-Jazeera planning to expand its reach
The Arab satellite television network Al-Jazeera got into news after the 9/11 incidents after it was the first to report many exclusive reports on the al-Qa’eda gang. It is practically hated by the US Government and has found its favors in many countries with its fear-free reporting and exclusive reporting.
The television network now has set its eyes on expanding its business and is now planning to launch services in Urdu, Turkish, French, and Spanish. They are also due to launch an English language broadcasting service and have hired Sir David Frost to be one of their leading anchors.
They also have big plans for their viewers in India and Pakistan. They are now translating its Arabic broadcasts into Urdu for television broadcasting in these two nations with the potential television audience of around 110 million viewers.
They have already started testing this service and hope to start it fully by June this year. Further plans are to expand this broadcast to other nations like the UK.
