RealNetworks posts a loss in the fourth quarter
US based digital media company RealNetworks has posted a loss in the most recent quarter.
The company said that they had a net loss of $240.5 million. It is down from profits of $2.7 million in the same period in the previous year.
The revenues were also down for the company at $152.6 million from $156.9 million.
They are expecting revenues to remain down in the coming months. However, they are expecting a rise in music revenues.
RealNetworks Chief Executive Rob Glaser said that they are considering making acquisitions as the market is down and they can get a good deal at this time.
He said: “We see a tremendous amount of opportunities and are being very selective. We’ll be both very active in looking and selective in picking.”
