Vizio is now the second largest flat panel TV brand in USA
Market research firm iSuppli has revealed that LCD TV brand Vizio has overtaken Sony to become the second largest player in this segment of the market in the United States.
Samsung retains the top spot.
Taiwan based Amtran Technology is the manufacturer of Vizio branded television sets and they are mostly aimed at the budget conscious customers.
iSuppli analyst Riddhi Patel spoke about their findings: “Vizio’s success in the fourth quarter was partly due to increasing brand recognition, courtesy of the company’s strong marketing efforts and retail strategy.”
Panasonic is on the fourth spot.
