Market sources say that this new plant should be ready to start manufacturing the Nano small car by next year.

Tata Motors is launching the Nano later this month. Bookings would also open in the coming weeks.

Tata Nano is likely to become the cheapest car in the world when it is launched later this month.

The new plant in Gujarat would have a manufacturing capacity of 250,000 cars per annum.
