Audi has high hopes from the Indian market
BMW has already overtaken Mercedes Benz to become the leading luxury car seller in the Indian market.
Audi is also working hard to catch up with Mercedes Benz with their new cars in India.
The company has said that they are very optimistic about the Indian automotive market and they see huge growth potential here.
Audi chairman Rupert Stadler spoke about their goals: “We are targeting a 40-50% growth in India over last year, closing the year with 1,500 units.”
He added: “We have significantly increased our market share in national markets that are deep in recession… we are therefore looking to the future with confidence. Unlike our competitors, we will not be imposing a freeze on recruitment and are convinced that the counter-cyclical approach will pay dividends in future.”
