Honda Insight goes on sale in US later this month

Japanese automaker Honda has revealed the pricing of their new Honda Insight hybrid that is going to be launched in the US market later this month.

Honda Insight has been priced at $19,800 which makes it around USD 2,000 cheaper than the rival model Toyota Prius.

Honda representative Dick Colliver spoke about the Insight: “The all-new Honda Insight brings the cost of entry for hybrid technology within closer reach of an entirely new car-shopping audience.”

Honda Insight comes powered with a 1.3-liter gasoline engine and a 10-kilowatt electric motor.

Honda claims that the vehicle would deliver a combined city/highway average of 40/43 miles per gallon.

Honda Insight would take on the Toyota Prius which is also going to be updated in the coming months with a brand new version.
