Toyota cars in India to become pricier next month
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that they are going to increase the price of some of their models next month.
The prices of their Corolla Altis and Innova models would go up by up to Rs. 50,000 from April 1.
Toyota said that they had to take this step due to depreciation of rupee and yen against the dollar.
Rising costs of the raw materials has also increased the costing for the company.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh spoke about this new development: “However, due to unavoidable reasons such as recent changes in the rupee/dollar and yen/dollar exchange rate, we are now required to make necessary revisions in pricing.”
The recently launched updated edition of Innova would become costlier by Rs 10,000-Rs 25,000. Toyota Corolla Altis would become costlier by Rs 10,000-Rs 50,000.
