Meridian Delhi to handle marketing for Honda Jazz

Honda Jazz is coming to India this year and the company has hired the services of Meridian Delhi for advertising and marketing.

Honda is going to launch the Jazz hatchback by the middle of the year. It would come powered with a 1.2 liter petrol engine.

In most markets around the world, Jazz is priced higher than Honda City. This would not be the case in the Indian market as consumers do not like paying more for a hatchback compared to a sedan.

Honda is going to share a lot of components of City with the Jazz to make sure that it has enough localization content at launch time to keep the cost low.

It remains to be seen how cheap Honda can price the Jazz in comparison to the City so that it can take on its rivals in the Indian market like Maruti Swift, Skoda Fabia and Hyundai i20.
