IBM might cut 5000 jobs in the US

Inside sources say that International Business Machines would soon announce a major job cut.

The company might cut as many as 5000 jobs and most of these cuts are likely to take place in their US operations.

IBM has already cut around 4000 jobs since January.

Alliance for IBM member Lee Conrad claimed: “I don’t believe this is the end. We’re losing jobs at a record rate inside IBM.”

Reports say that the company is aiming to move more of their operations to countries like India and this might be the reason for the fresh job cuts.

Market rumors also say that IBM is in talks with Sun Microsystems for a possible acquisition deal.
