Dell optimistic about future growth
The market value of Dell might have fallen behind Apple Computers, but founder Michael Dell believes that the company is doing well and is set to continue its growth in the coming years.
Michael Dell was speaking at the World Congress on Information Technology as the company just celebrated its 22nd birthday on Wednesday.
The stock market position of Dell shares has plummeted in recent months but Michael is optimistic about the future.
Dell said: “Let’s kind of review the situation here. In the last 10 years our company has grown about 10 times and our stock is up a couple thousand percent.”
He added: “During the last 22 years, we have had a pretty remarkable track record of growth in our business, but there’s no kind of perfect, linear path to success. I do believe that what you’ll see is that we have a great business model. We are the leader in our industry in the United States, quite a bit larger than others, and the leader around the world, and so we’re confident our business will continue to grow.”
The company is looking at markets outside America for growth as even developing nations like India is giving them good room to grow even further. They are the world’s largest maker of personal computers and are all set to stay at the top in the near future.
