Toyota planning a hybrid based on the Yaris!
Honda messed up the hybrid party for Toyota by offering their Insight model at a price lower than that of the Prius.
Toyota Prius has been the best selling hybrid car in the world and it now faces intense competition from Honda Insight.
This has resulted in a situation where Toyota is apparently planning to manufacture a new hybrid model that could be based on their Yaris.
The aim would be to lower the price tag to beat Honda’s offering.
It remains to be seen if Honda would take on that model by offering a hybrid edition of the Jazz small car!
