No charge for using third party ATMs from April 1
There is good news for ATM users in the Indian market.
As per the RBI regulations, banks would not longer be able to charge a fee from rival bank customers who use their ATMs.
Essentially, you would now be able to use your ATM-Debit Card with any ATM machine operated by any bank from April 1.
Banks would however still be able to charge a fee for other services.
Customers would also be able to get mini bank statements from any ATM machine without paying a fee from next month.
