Microsoft to expand its base in Hyderabad

Software giants Microsoft’s Indian unit has announced their plans to double its workforce at Hyderabad. Interestingly, they are recruiting people of Indian origin in the US to work here.

Rebecca DuBose Ward, Director, Intellectual Property & Licensing, Microsoft India (R&D) was addressing the media at the Indo-US seminar and workshop on IPR enforcement when she announced these latest plans of the software giants.

The company currently employs around 800 workers at their Hyderabad unit and these would be expanded in the coming months.

The decision to hire people from US and move them here in India is one good way to reversing the brain drain and could inspire other companies to do the same.
