Walt Disney cutting 1900 jobs in US operations
Walt Disney has announced that they are cutting around 1900 jobs in their U.S. theme parks.
These job cuts are part of their earlier announced reorganization plan.
Disney said that the job cut would mean removal of around 1200 workers.
They are also not going to fill 700 open positions.
Disney spokeswoman Tasia Filippatos spoke about this new development: “These decisions were not made lightly, but are essential to maintaining our leadership in family tourism and reflect today’s economic realities.”
