IBM and Sun said to have stopped their discussions
IBM has been in talks with Sun Microsystems for weeks as per market reports.
The two companies have been discussing a potential acquisition deal.
The latest report in the market is that IBM has now withdrawn its bid as Sun was asking for more money.
It remains to be seen what Sun is planning to do next. They are struggling to survive in this competitive market.
One of their past rivals SGI has sold itself for a mere USD 25 million.
Sun might now seek a deal with IBM rivals including Hewlett Packard and Cisco Systems.
