Dell to add 1000 new workers at Canada Call Center
World’s largest maker of personal computers has announced their plans to hire about 1,000 workers at a call center in Ottawa. This would triple the staff working at this customer care center for the company.
This call center handles consumer queries in two languages, English and French. Dell also has plans to add a 150-member sales team, which would be providing services for government and French-language customers.
The company had opened this call center earlier this year in February and they expect it to reach its full capacity within a year. Site director Michael Jaillet said in a statement: “The folks in Ottawa have great technical and customer service skills. Customers were telling us they really like the service they were getting from the folks here in Ottawa.”
Dell also has plans to add 10,000 workers to their Indian operations over the next couple of years. This is to help them support the ever-growing consumer base in the Indian and other Asian markets.
