Maruti Suzuki SX4 might get a diesel version as well
Diesels are hot in the Indian market and Maruti Suzuki is working hard on expanding their lineup.
They are all set to launch their brand new car Ritz in the Indian market. It would come in both petrol and diesel variants.
The company is also said to be working on a diesel version of its SX4 sedan which competes with Honda City.
A diesel version of SX4 would make it a potent challenger to diesel versions of Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Verna.
Maruti currently offers a diesel version of Swift and DZiRE.
However, Maruti as of now has access to only one diesel engine which is the 1.3-litre multi-jet. So it might take some time for them to get a more capable diesel engine for the SX4.
