Maruti Suzuki launches new engine in India

India’s leading automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has launched their second K-series petrol engine which would power their new generation of fuel efficient cars.

The company would be manufacturing this new 1,197 cc engine codenamed K12M at their new plant in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Maruti said in a statement: “The K12M engine reflects the company’s continued focus on investment (in India) in long-term strategic projects which include expansion of manufacturing capacity and introduction of new engine technology.”

This engine would be used in their upcoming new model Maruti Suzuki Ritz.

They are already using another K-series petrol engine in their A-Star model.
