Indian Premier League 2 is a hit with viewers
Audience Measurement and Analytics has announced that the second edition of the Indian Premier League has been a hit.
The report released by them stated that the second edition of the Cricket tournament has already seen an addition of 2 million more viewers for the first eight matches compared to last year.
This is totally against the general perception that the second series has not been as popular as the first tournament which was held last year in India.
IPL had to move to South Africa as it could not held in India due to the ongoing general elections.
aMap spoke about their research: “About 20 minutes of advertising per 60 minutes of content is good. This shows that advertisers’ faith in IPL’s viewership is holding, at least for now.”
